Reeved Units

To increase the operating capacity of the balancer a reeve block can be used as seen in the first drawing. This action doubles the capacity of the of the balancer and halfs the cable travel. Reeve blocks are not available in the 50 lb and 150 lb balancers. A second option is to use balancers in tandem as shown on the second drawing. Two balancers are tied to a common control system and a single hook. The advantage of this is that there is no reduction in cable travel. Lastly, balancers can be in tandem and reeved like in the last drawing.
