For lifting and positioning constant loads
The EA controls are used constant weight repetitive parts handing within a 40 lb. range that need operator handling of the parts similar to loading a machine tool. The selector switch has three modes that the operator uses in sequence. The operator attaches the end effecter or hook to the part and switches to “Hi-load” which then automatically lifts the load for transfer. The operator then switches to “Lo-load” which allows the operator to float the part up or down into position with virtually no force required on the component. When the part is in final position, the operator then switches the mode to “Un-load” to release the part from the handling device or hook.
